Welcome to my new Blog!

Creating a blog is something that I wanted to do for a long time, yet it still took me a school assignment to actually go ahead and do it.

For the ones who don't know me yet, my name is Matheus Freitas, and I currently am an animation student at Langara College, an illustrator and a Concept Artist. In fact, Concept Art is what I previously studied at Vancouver Film School, where most of my peers know me from.

Since a young age, I have a deep love for games and cartoons. They were a very important part of my life when I was a kid and also a teenager when I started to stay a bit too long inside my room. I remember when I made my mind about going abroad to become a Game Designer. I was 12 years old. Things changed a little bit when I realized making art is a lot more fun, and ended up coming to Canada instead of the United States, which is where I initially wanted to go.

In this blog, I want to get closer to you by sharing my thoughts, experiences, experiments and reflections in a more personal way. I will also be sharing some of my work, breaking down my process and revealing my inspirations and thoughts that crossed my mind when working. I might even share some struggles and frustrations of mine. Hopefully, that will start a nice conversation.
